The National Runaway Safeline is a free, 24 hour crisis line for any young person who has run away, is homeless, or is thinking about leaving home, by phone, chat, text, email, or a peer forum. You do not have to give your name or any identifying details to get help, though staff are legally required to report it if someone tells them they are actively being hurt. Beyond someone to talk to, they can refer you to shelters, food, and mental health support near you, and their Home Free program can provide a free bus ticket home or somewhere else safe for those ages 12 to 21. There is no cost and no account, day or night.
