National Call Center for Homeless Veterans (HUD VASH)

The National Call Center for Homeless Veterans is a free, 24 hour phone line for any veteran who is homeless or about to be, plus their family members and caregivers calling on their behalf. A quick screening connects you to the nearest VA homeless point of contact, which can lead to HUD VASH, a program that pairs a housing voucher with an ongoing VA case manager for veterans who need more than just a place to stay. You do not need to already be enrolled in VA health care to call, though HUD VASH itself does require a VA eligibility determination once you are in the program. There is no cost to call or to the voucher program itself.
